A strategic determination of the Customs Administration is to combat organized crime and in that respect the Customs provides regular education to its employees and modern equipment to its units. Acting upon the trends of the crime and the illegal activities on one hand and the best practices in combating such phenomena on the other hand, the Customs Administration established a video surveillance system at the Customs Offices in 2008, as one of the most sophisticated tools for combating organized crime. The video surveillance, recording and transmission system is administrated by the Coordination and Communication Department which runs live surveillance 24/7.
